I’m a tech leader who’s evolved from gaming code monkey to elderly care disruptor. My journey spans from programming networked game mechanics at RedLynx to transforming how we care for seniors as CTO at Gubbe, with stops in haptic technology, marketing data, and cybersecurity along the way.
Currently wearing two hats: running engineering at Gubbe to revolutionize elderly care through matchmaking technology, and co-founding phisherie to make cybersecurity accessible to everyone. I’m fascinated by the intersection of AI, security, and building systems that make the world a better place.
Father of two. Took dedicated paternity leave for both my son (2016) and daughter (2021) - some of the best engineering I’ve ever done.
Some of the things I believe in:
- Simplicity matters
- Agile doesn’t have to come with a lot of overhead
- The devil is in the details
- The only real way to motivate engineers is through substance
- Programming languages are tools, programming is more like poetry than grammar
- A manager’s success is measured by the success of his/her team
- “If you want to know how a company did look at the finances, if you want to know how a company does look at the customers, if you want to know how a company will do look at the employees”
